Double chin injections are performed by our Talent who have been trained in the treatment, which involves a number of small injections into the fat beneath your chin.

Sometimes, a double chin has nothing to do with body weight, and is instead due to hormones or heredity. It can be frustrating because a double chin can make you look older, heavier, or unhealthier than you actually are.

The best candidates for the double chin injections are women and men over the age of 18 who are in good health and have realistic expectations.

No, at this point the product used for CHIN UP™ is approved only for submental fat reduction. It is not yet known if the treatment is safe and effective for use of removing fat in other areas or in clients under the age of 18 years.

The product has been used to remove fat in other stubborn areas such as under the arms/bra line (bra fat) and above the knees for example with excellent results, however this is ‘off label’ use.

Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding are not suitable candidates for any type of injection treatment. Also, clients who have severe liver or heart problems may not be able to undergo this treatment. Patients who have a lot of excess skin or lax neck muscles may be better candidates for skin tightening.

When the CHIN UP™ treatment is performed by an experienced Doctor, yes, it is safe. Complications can arise, just like with any cosmetic treatment. Downtime occurs most commonly after the first treatment. Immediately, there may be some stinging or pain during the treatment and it may last for a few days. Swelling and bruising can last for 2 weeks. Some discomfort, numbness and firmness may last for several weeks. Severe side effects are rare but may include nerve injury with an uneven smile, facial muscle weakness or trouble swallowing.

ATX-101 (deoxycholic acid) is the first pharmaceutical therapy approved by the FDA for the reduction in submental fat. Deoxycholic acid is an endogenous secondary bile acid that normally solubilizes dietary fat, contributing to its breakdown and absorption within the gut.
