Epidermal Levelling also known as dermaplaning, is a painless and highly effective treatment designed to remove fine vellus hair (peach fuzz) and exfoliate the skin, which can improve the penetration of your skincare products. This treatment may be performed every 3 to 6 weeks, or as the hair growth and build up of dead skin starts to return.
Epidermal Levelling is a 60 minute facial treatment that uses a scalpel to remove the dead skin and fine down-like hair from your face. It is a very popular treatment for brides, special occasions, or anyone wanting their skin to look and feel soft, smooth and glowing – It is fantastic skin-prep for makeup application
You may choose to further exfoliate the skin by booking for epidermal levelling & a peel. The Cosmedix Pomegranate Peel is fantastic post epidermal-levelling as it will remove any dead skin cells that may be left behind as well as infusing a combination of antioxidants and hydrating skincare ingredients. You can also choose to add on the Healite LED for an add on price of $45 to further enhance your treatment.

Epidermal levelling is performed on the face to remove “peach fuzz” type hair and dead skin build up
The skin is cleansed thoroughly and then degreased to ensure there is no residual oil remaining on the skin. The skin is held tight and the blade is scraped across the skin at a 45 degree angle. Once this is completed, a peel or mask may be applied (for an additional cost) and then post-procedure creams are applied
The treatment takes approximately 60 minutes
- Persons with any form of skin inflammation or trauma (e.g. pustular Acne, cold sores, sunburn)
- Persons with keloid scars/history of keloid scarring
- Thick hair growth (only suitable for fine “peach fuzz” type hair”
