How does CHIN UP™ work to treat double chins?
CHIN UP™ by SKYN is a treatment involving the injection of deoxycholic acid (found naturally in the body) into the fat in the double chin area, which destroys the fat cells. Once the fat cells have been destroyed they cannot store fat again – so once you have achieved the look that you want, it is unlikely that you will need more treatment.
How is the CHIN UP™ treatment performed?
Injections are only performed by Our Talent who have been trained in the treatment. The treatment involves a number of small injections into the fat beneath your chin.
What to expect
The CHIN UP treatment is administered in a series of sessions spaced a few weeks to a month apart for the best results.
Treatment sessions usually take 15 – 20 minutes. You may experience some bleeding, swelling, bruising, or tenderness at or near the treatment area, however these side effects are typically short-lived. While this is a non-invasive procedure and you can return to your daily activities immediately afterward, you may experience some redness, bruising and swelling for a few days up to a few weeks afterward. We suggest that you schedule your treatment near the end of the week, or over the weekend.
Over time, you’ll notice your double chin gradually receding, revealing a slimmer, natural-looking neckline. Because the fat cells targeted by the CHIN UP treatment are destroyed, your results are likely permanent.
